Assignment:
Open the file called “bouquet.jpg” in Photoshop. Use the Magic Wand selection technique demonstrated in class to select the red elements in the photograph (the flowers and the berries). Inverse the selection and apply a Black & White Adjustment Layer to turn everything except the flowers black and white. You may also apply a Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer to change the color of the flowers, or a Brightness/Contrast Adjustment Layer to lighten the flowers. Save the file as “YOURNAME bouquet.jpg” and place a copy in the “12 – Black & White Bouquet” folder in the Student Drop Folder.

Correct the color on all four of the files in folder “11 – Brightness & Contrast” in the Student Pickup Folder. Using the tools and techniques demonstrated in the video and discussed in class, apply a Brightness & Contrast Adjustment Layer and a Vibrance Adjustment Layer to lighten or darken the photograph as needed, and to adjust the skin tones to look natural. Make sure your screen brightness is set to at least 50% to ensure you are seeing true color. Save each file with your name in the filename, put all four files into a folder with your name on it and copy the entire folder to Folder #11 in the Student Drop Folder.
